Reflections: Going Back

My first day back at school felt both fantastic and terrifying. I’d given up a lot to chase a new dream, and I didn’t know what to expect. While I love being in school, I hadn’t been a full-time student for almost six years. The semester brought many unexpected twists and turns, but it taught me a lot about myself. I learned that I could manage my anxiety using techniques and organization tools and thrive in higher education structures.

My coursework allowed me to explore topics that were new and reinforced topics that were old. I thoroughly enjoyed defining, researching, and exploring my areas of concentration. I came into this program with some vague ideas of what I wanted to do, but after this semester, I feel I have a better understanding of where I want to go. Exploring the topics of innovation and Andragogy this semester helped to supplement my explorations of my concentration areas. While this semester had many unexpected challenges,

I genuinely enjoyed my first experience back in school full-time. I look forward to learning more about myself and my concentration areas.
